How to use it

Tap "Use my camera" and allow access. Use daylight and point straight at the surface: warm indoor lights shift the colors. In eyedropper mode, keep the circle over the color you want to measure.

What it's for

Match a wall color before you paint, check outfits in a store, choose thread or fabric, or keep the colors of a landscape. Saved palettes stay on your phone.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get the color of something with my phone camera?

Open this page, tap "Use my camera", allow access and point at the object. In eyedropper mode you'll see the HEX code and the name of the color in the center.

Is the video recorded or sent anywhere?

No. The image is analyzed on your phone and is never saved or sent anywhere.

Why doesn't the color look exactly like the real thing?

Light and the camera change colors. In daylight and without shadows the result is much more accurate.

Does it work on a computer?

Yes, if it has a webcam. It's easier on a phone because it uses the back camera.
