How to choose a wall color

Start with the room’s light: north-facing rooms look cooler, so warm whites, beige and greige feel cozier there; sunny rooms can take cool blues and greens. Pick the main wall color first, then an accent for one wall, and keep the ceiling a soft white so the room feels taller.

The 60-30-10 rule for a room

About 60% of the room in a main color (usually the walls), 30% in a secondary color (furniture, curtains or an accent wall) and 10% in an accent (cushions, frames, plants). It is an easy way to get a balanced room without clashing colors.

Paint colors for 2027

Soft, natural greens like celery and sage, powder blues, and earthy clay tones lead the 2027 paint trends, together with warm whites. They are calm, easy to live with and work with wood and linen.

Frequently asked questions

Can I upload a photo of my room?

Not yet: the visualizer uses ready-made rooms so the walls are painted cleanly. Pick the room closest to yours and try the colors on each surface.

Are the colors exact?

They are screen approximations. Paint looks different with daylight, lamps and the finish, so always try a sample on your wall before buying.

What color should the ceiling be?

A soft white or a very light version of the wall color makes the room feel taller and brighter. Dark ceilings make a room feel cozier but lower.

Is it free?

Yes. Try as many colors as you like and save the images, no sign-up.
