Color Palettes

Color Tower: the color palette game

A color palette game where you tap to drop each block and build the tallest tower you can. The blocks shift little by little between the palette's five colors, so your tower ends up as a gradient.

The color palettes in the game

The game's palettes work for your designs too. Tap a color to copy its code, or open the palette in the editor to adjust it.

How to play

Tap the screen to drop the block that slides back and forth. The part that hangs over the block below is cut off, and the next block is smaller. Drop it exactly on top for a “Perfect!” and the block keeps its size. On a computer you can also click or press the space bar.

A gradient from the color palette

Each block's color moves step by step between the palette's five colors. The steps are computed in the OKLab color space, which follows how the eye sees color, so the gradient looks even. The higher you go, the more of the palette you see.

Today's challenge

Today's challenge uses a different color palette every day, the same for everyone, so you can compare scores with friends. When the game ends you can save an image of your tower with your score and the palette's colors, and share it.
