How are the colors picked?

We gather the colors of every photo, group similar ones in the OKLab color space, which follows how the eye sees color, and keep the six most common. Near-identical colors are merged, and each one gets an easy name like Sunset Coral or Latte Beige.

Where are my photos stored?

Photos are resized on your device and stored only in this browser. They are still there when you come back, and Remove all deletes them right away. Nothing is sent to a server.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Photos are processed on your device and stored only in this browser. Remove all deletes them right away.

Can I post straight to Threads or Instagram?

On your phone, the share buttons open the share menu with the image, so you can pick Threads, Instagram or any chat app. On a computer, save the image and then post it.

How do I use it as a wallpaper?

Choose Wallpaper 9:16 and save: you get a 1080 × 2340 image with no text. Set it as your wallpaper from your photos app. The top is left clear for the clock.

Can I hide the palette?

Yes. Turn off Show palette to save only your photos, without the color band.
