What the voice type test tells you
From 5 seconds of your voice, we measure five traits: pitch, brightness, breathiness, intonation and stability. Then we pick the closest of eight types: sweet, husky, crystal-clear, deep, bright, soothing, cool and velvet. Each type has its own colors, and a radar chart shows the balance of your voice.
Tips for a good result
Find a quiet spot, hold your phone or computer mic about 8–12 inches (20–30 cm) away, and read the sentence the way you normally talk. The more naturally you speak, the more the result will sound like you. Singing or reading a different sentence may give you a different type.
About the 5 voice traits
“Pitch” is how high or low your voice is, “brightness” is its sparkling resonance, “breathiness” is how much breath mixes in, “intonation” is how much your voice rises and falls, and “stability” is how little it wavers. None of them is good or bad. Enjoy them as part of what makes your voice yours.
