How to make a memorial card

Choose one of the 12 designs (four have a frame for a photo), write the name, the dates, a short phrase and the details of the visitation and the service. Pick a calm palette and a format, then download the image or share it straight from your phone.

What to write

Keep it simple: a heading such as “In loving memory of”, the full name, the dates of birth and passing, one line that sums up the person, the place and time of the visitation and of the service, and a short line from the family.

Symbols and colors

The symbol is optional and chosen by the family: a cross, a Star of David, a crescent or none. Mourning colors change from culture to culture (black in much of the West, white in East Asia, purple in parts of Latin America), so every palette is quiet and neutral.

Share or print

The portrait version fits WhatsApp and Facebook posts, the 9:16 version fits stories and the 5×7 version prints sharp for the service.
