How to make your wedding invitation
Choose one of the seven designs, pick your wedding palette or enter your own colors, and type your names, date and venue. The design takes its paper, text, leaves and flowers from your palette. Download the 5×7 PNG to print at home or at a print shop, or the 9:16 version to send by text.
What to write on a wedding invitation
The classic order is: the hosts (“Together with their families”), your names, the invitation line, the date and time, the venue and city, the reception and how to RSVP. Write the date in words for a formal invitation, and keep the RSVP line short with a date and your website.
When to send invitations and save the dates
Send save the dates 6 to 8 months before the wedding (up to a year for destination weddings) and the invitations 6 to 8 weeks before, with the RSVP date about a month before the wedding.
A matching suite in your colors
The invitation, the save the date and the guest dress code card all use the same palette, so your whole wedding stationery looks planned together, even if you print some pieces and send others by text.
