Minnesota adopted a new flag on May 11, 2024. It shows a dark blue shape inspired by the state's outline on the left, with a white eight-pointed star for the North Star, on a light blue field. The colors were published with Pantone references (648 and 305) when the design was adopted. It replaced the older flag with the state seal on blue.
