How to wear beige
An all-beige outfit works if you mix several shades, like sand, camel and cream, and different fabrics. Beige pants go with a white shirt, a navy sweater or a black tee. For shoes, white, brown and black all look good. Gold accessories and cognac leather bring it to life.
Beige in home decor
Beige walls make rooms feel warm and spacious. Pair them with natural wood, fibers like jute or wicker, and white and brown textiles. To keep it from looking boring, add an accent color such as olive green, terracotta or petrol blue. Thin black frames add a modern touch.
Beige in graphic and web design
Beige makes a good background for fashion, beauty or interior design websites, but it has little contrast with white. Use dark brown or black text on beige, and a terracotta or green accent for links and buttons.
What to avoid
Avoid pairing beige with pale yellows or very light greenish grays, because the result looks dingy or faded. And don't wear head-to-toe beige without changing shade or texture.
