How to wear bone
A bone-colored piece is a warm alternative to white: it goes with jeans, black, brown or navy. In winter, a bone sweater with a camel coat is very elegant. For shoes, brown, black and nude are safe. For weddings, it's a delicate choice for guests as long as it doesn't compete with the bride.
Bone in home decor
Bone is ideal for walls when pure white feels cold. Pair it with wood, linen, jute and earth tones. Black or olive green furniture adds contrast. It works really well in rustic, Scandinavian and Japandi styles.
Bone in graphic and web design
Bone is a good alternative background to white because it's easier on the eyes. Use black or dark brown text on it, with a terracotta or green accent.
What to avoid
Avoid pairing it with pure white, because bone looks dirty next to it. With pale yellows it blends in.
